Fredericton Campus Libraries Closed:
All libraries on the UNB Fredericton Campus are closed today, January 19, due to weather conditions. The Hans W. Klohn Commons (UNB Saint John) will remain open.
Library Closures:
Due to weather forecast and road conditions, Fredericton campus libraries will close at 5:00 PM today, Feb. 7, 2020. The Hans W. Klohn Commons in Saint John remains closed for the day.
Libraries Closing Early:
Due to poor weather conditions, UNB Libraries on the Fredericton campus will close today at 4:30 PM, Thursday 27 February. We will resume normal operating hours on Friday morning.
Scheduled Power Outage:
Due to a planned power outage, access to the library website, electronic resources, document delivery, reserves, and other online library services will be affected Friday (beginning at 8:00 PM) and Saturday, February 28 and 29. The Harriet Irving Library will be closed Saturday, February 29.
Libraries Closing Early:
All UNB Libraries in Fredericton and Saint John will close close early tonight, Monday, March 16. Science & Forestry and Engineering Libraries close at 5:00 PM, and the Harriet Irving Library and HWK Commons (Saint John) will close at 7:00 PM.
UNB Libraries Websites Outage: Tuesday, April 28:
To allow maintenance to our IT infrastructure, UNB Libraries websites (including the main library website, proxy server, access to electronic resources, reserves, and other online services) will be offline on Tuesday morning, April 28, beginning at 7:00 AM. We hope to have access to all services restored before noon.
Library Services Offline Tuesday Evening:
Due to a planned power outage, access to the library website, electronic resources, document delivery, reserves, and other online library services will be affected Tuesday, July 7th, from 4:00 PM to midnight.
Fredericton Campus Libraries Early Closure:
The Harriet Irving Library and the Science & Forestry Library will close at 3:00 today, Thursday, October 22.
Hans W. Klohn Commons Library closing at Noon, Friday January 7th - Saint John campus :
Student study space at the HWKC Library will close at noon. All virtual library services remain available.
Early Library Closures February 16, 2021:
Due to weather conditions, UNB Libraries on the Fredericton and Saint John Campuses will be closing early. The Hans W. Klohn Commons in Saint John will close at 12:00 noon, and the Harriet Irving Library and Science & Forestry Library in Fredericton will close at 2:00 PM.
Fredericton Campus Closure:
At the direction of New Brunswick Public Health, the Fredericton campus including the Harriet Irving and Science Libraries will be closed to in-person use until least the end of Sunday, May 2nd. The Saint John campus remains open. For research support, contact Ask Us.

UNB Libraries opening at 12pm (noon) on Monday, January 20th:
The Harriet Irving Library, IUC Library, and Head Hall Library (Fredericton) and the Hans W. Klohn Commons Library (Saint John) will open on Monday, January 20th at 12pm (noon) to allow for the snow clearing required after the snow storm.
UNB Libraries are providing virtual access and services only on Friday, February 4th:
UNB Libraries are closed on both campus and will be providing virtual services only on Friday, February 4th . We expect to be operating normally on Saturday.
Disruptions to Fredericton Campus Hours of Opening:
UNBF Libraries open at usual, but due to the protest planned in downtown Fredericton, please check our hours of service through the weekend for potential disruptions.
Fredericton: Limited Hours Friday January 13th:
In Fredericton, the Harriet Irving Library will be open today from 12:00 - 5:00PM only. The Science & Forestry Library and the Engineering & Computer Science Library will remain closed.
The Hans W. Klohn Commons in Saint John is open as normal.

Due to the UNBSJ campus closure, the Hans W. Klohn Commons Library will be closed for the day, January 23, 2023. Please watch for further updates.
UNBF Libraries Closed for the Day -- UNBSJ Library Open:
Due to inclement weather, all UNBF Libraries will remain closed today, January 26th. UNBSJ Library opened at noon
Early Closure at Harriet Irving Library:
Due to a plumbing failure, the Harriet Irving Library is closing at 3:30 today, February 6th. Science and Engineering libraries, and the Hans W. Klohn Commons in Saint John are unaffected. The Harriet Irving Library will re-open for regular operating hours on Tuesday, February 7.
UNBF Libraries closed all day / UNBSJ Library Delayed Opening:
Due to inclement weather, UNBF Libraries will be closed for the day. UNBSJ Library will open at noon on Friday, Feb 10.
Early Closure for UNB Libraries:
Due to current weather conditions, libraries on UNB's Fredericton campus will close at 1:00 PM, and the library on UNB's Saint John campus will close at 2:00 PM today, February 17. All campus libraries are expected to re-open for regular operating hours on Saturday, February 18.

Tuesday, 16 January 2024 - UNB Fredericton Libraries Closing Early:
Due to the weather, UNB Fredericton Libraries will be closing at 8:30pm on Tuesday, 16 January 2024. We will be open as usual in the morning unless a campus closure is announced.
Library Services Offline Saturday Night:
Access to UNB Libraries' website, electronic resources, document delivery, reserves, and other online library services will be unavailable tonight, Saturday February 17, between 10 PM and 12:30 AM Sunday, while UNB ITS completes essential network maintenance.
